- Skidmore's faculty in 2014 published books on topics ranging from the circus to the European Union, from classic television to children's literature and the Christian right, along with three new collections of poetry.
- The celebrated American poet Barry Goldensohn will give a poetry reading at Skidmore College's Surrey Williamson Inn at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29. Admission is free and open to the public.
- English Professor Robert Boyers, a former department colleague of Goldensohn's, writes of his friend's new collection, 'With this new book, drawn from the work of a lifetime, Goldensohn reminds us why he has long seemed to many of us ever fresh and sustaining.'
