- Career Jam, Skidmore's largest on-campus networking event, is now its in eighth year. The event brings parents, alumni, employers, and students together during Celebration Weekend for a conversation about careers. Students are encouraged to stop by Career Jam on Friday, October 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. on the second floor of Murray-Aikins Dining Hall. More than 60 alumni, parents, and friends of the College, representing a wide range of careers, will offer informal networking and advice to Skidmore students.
- W. Scott McGraw, who joined the board in 2011, will succeed Linda Toohey as chair of the board this spring.
- Emerson O'Donnell '15 and Hanna Levine '14 will work this summer in labs at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
- Five finalists made presentations before Skidmore's Parents Council in late April. Going in, the students assumed only two would receive summer internship funding. But an anonymous angel stepped up and all five received internships! Left: Eden Dotan '13, Parents Council Internship recipient.
- The reality of graduation, and an improving economy, brought many students to Case Center last Friday, where parent, alumni, and faculty offered advice on job searches. Five lucky students received funds for summer internships.
