- Election season update: As the presidential race dominated news coverage, journalists reached out to Skidmore for expertise and insights from faculty members, including Christopher Mann, Ron Seyb, Sheldon Solomon and Bob Turner.
- Many would describe this election season as exhausting, but at Skidmore it has been interesting and exploratory. Students, faculty, and staff have participated in community dialogues regarding the presidential campaigns, challenging each other's views and questioning values showcased by the candidates.
- Election season update: The most controversial figure in politics, Donald Trump, was the topic of a discussion that drew some 200 students, professors, and Saratogians to the Tang Museum's A More Perfect Union exhibition space.
- Many Skidmore courses have covered many political campaigns, but professors this year are teaching a very unconventional candidate in Donald Trump. They'll talk it through on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Tang Museum.
- Videos of the five presentations made at last fall's TEDxSkidmoreCollege event at the Arthur Zankel Music Center can now be viewed on YouTube.
- Rebecca Howard, Gordon Thompson and Sheldon Solomon will present broad perspectives, ranging from presentations that explore the future from a broad range of perspectives, our search for meaning, our relationship with alcohol, and modes of continuing education. Two seniors will also present.
- In just 24 hours, more than 1,500 alumni, parents, students, and friends of Skidmore contributed $250,000 for the May 1 challenge.
