Service learning, community engagement, sustainability, and the Upstate economy will be the four areas of focus at a free one-day Upstate New York Symposium to be hosted by the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium at Union College on Monday, April 1.- History major Becca Gilligan organized a panel discussion of area World War II veterans as a project in the Social Work course called "Community Engagement." The veterans and students who recorded the vets' oral histories will share their stories in a special public program April 25.
