- Faculty author Greg Hrbek presents what he calls "Selected Shorts" Skidmore-style, in which faculty authors will read short stories written by Skidmore students.
- This collection has won an award and earned praise. The reviewer from Booklist writes, "Hrbek's first collection subtly and masterfully merges the everyday and the mythic, poetic, futuristic, and seemingly impossible."
- The acclaimed author of What I Loved and The Shaking Woman: A History of My Nerves will visit Skidmore Feb. 22 for a lecture and panel discussion. Admission is free and open to all. (Originally scheduled for January, this event was postponed due a snow storm.)
- Greg Hrbek will share his latest work in a reading Nov. 17 on campus. Next semester, thanks to an NEA fellowship, he's heading to Japan to research a new novel.
