    Field hockey saw its season come to an end with a 6-2 loss to top-seeded Middlebury in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Thoroughbreds advanced after defeating UMass-Dartmouth 6-0 in Wednesday's first round matchup at Wagner Park.

    Volleyball closed out its regular season with a 25-6 record after going 3-1 at the Skidmore Invitational this past weekend. Senior Mallory Mendelsohn (San Francisco, Calif.) and junior Corinne Palmer (Montvale, N.J.) were selected to the All-Tournament Team. Palmer totaled 68 kills and 15 blocks in the four matches, while Mendelsohn paced the offense with 169 total assists. Senior Sam Friedman (Los Angeles, Calif.) totaled 70 digs as she became just the third player in program history with 2,000 career digs. Skidmore will host Clarkson, Vassar, and RIT for the Liberty League tournament this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2 and 3. Skidmore meets RIT in the first game, at 5 p.m. Friday in the Williamson Sports Center.
