Kristie Ford

Kristie Ford, associate professor of sociology, was a featured speaker at Siena College conference titled "Engage for Change: Engaging Diverse Communities" on May 16. Ford was honored by the Capital Region Community Engagement Council as an "honored faculty" member for her "shows exemplary work, dedication and promotion of civic and community engagement in the Capital Region."

Gordon Thompson

Gordon Thompson, professor of music, published an article titled "Banning the Beatles: 'A Day in the Life' at the BBC" May 18 in the Oxford University Press OUPBlog. Thompson has taught courses and led seminars on The Beatles, is the author of Please Please Me: Sixties British Pop, Inside Out (2008, Oxford University Press) and founded Skidmore's annual Beatlemore Skidmania concert.
