Skidmore Spotlight: Leon Briggs

Leon Briggs, an end user computer specialist for Information Technology at Skidmore,
provides technical support and guidance for faculty and staff with Skidmore-owned
Apple computers.
Briggs started working at Skidmore three years ago, but his relationship with the
college began many years earlier.
“My father, Leon Briggs Sr., worked in building maintenance at Skidmore for 12 years
and loved it! He always spoke highly of everyone he worked with,” Briggs said. “I
also had the pleasure of meeting Tom Marcotte, assistant chief technology officer,
years ago and he spoke very highly of Skidmore.”
Now, with personal experience, Briggs feels everything he heard is true.
“Skidmore is a wonderful place. Every day, I get to work with the greatest people
in a field that I’m passionate about,” Briggs said.
When he’s not tackling information technology requests across campus, Briggs said
he enjoys participating in a variety of Skidmore community and social events.
