Meet the Pre-College Residential Staff!

 

Hi everybody!  My name is Michael Coffel and I am from Upper Saddle River, New Jersey.  I am a rising junior at Skidmore and am on the Pre-Med track with a double major in Psychology and Neuroscience.  In my free time I like to play racquetball, sing, take road trips, and hang out with my friends.  I am also the Vice President of the a cappella group The Treblemakers.  I am very excited to be an RA this summer because I attended the Pre-College program in 2009.  The Pre-College program was one of the best things I did during my time in high school and I can’t wait to be a part of it again!  Get ready for an awesome summer!

 

Hello pre-college students, welcome to Skidmore!  My name is Marcella Jewell and I'm from Binghamton, NY.  I'm an avid runner/ adventure guru and I am looking forward to showing all of you just how beautiful and exciting Saratoga Springs is in the summer.  When I'm not running or studying, I'm working on my pictorial food blog, This Skid Kid Grills.  I love cooking and the culinary arts, they are my means of creative expression.  As a rising sophomore, I'm a potential government major with a dance minor, I'm fascinated by national and international political culture.  I cannot wait to meet all of you and experience a summer at Skidmore together!

 

Hi! I'm Alex Kraft. I'm from New Fairfield, Connecticut. I will graduate in May with a B.A. in English. I love creative writing, acting, music, and film. I also love playing tennis and ping pong. I really love traveling, and I really, really love cities. Welcome to the Pre-College Program--I'm excited to meet all of you!

 

Hey! My name is Dawid Pypec. I was born in Poland and came to the United States when I was 5 years old. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY. I just finished my senior year and I will be graduating in May. I will graduate with a major in Business and a minor in Arts Administration. My concentration in Business is film. I want to be a film producer and hope to move to Los Angeles to start my career. I want to welcome you to the Pre-College Program. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you!

 

Hi! My name is Carmen Ramos. I am from Waukegan, Illinois (a small suburb north of Chicago) and I am currently a junior here at Skidmore. I am majoring in Health and Exercise Science and I plan on becoming a registered dietitian after graduating. In my spare time I like playing basketball, bike riding, and spending hours online playing Tetris. I want to welcome all of you to the Pre-College Program and I look forward to meeting all of you guys!

 

Hey guys! My name is Emily Rooke-Ley and I'll be a junior next year. But...I'm pretty new to the East Coast. I transferred here from California at the beginning of my sophomore year, and I'm originally from Oregon. I love it here even though I can't go to the beach between classes : ) I'm a psychology major and absolutely love the department here...if you're at all interested in psychology, I'm your girl. I'm also the president of Vox: Voices for Planned Parenthood, a student-run club on-campus. If you join, I'll love you forever. Anyway, that's me, can't wait to meet you all and spend a WONDERFUL month in Saratoga together!

 

Hello! Welcome to the Pre-College Program! I'm Hannah Ryan-Humphrey, a rising senior at Skidmore. I'm a studio art major with a concentration in painting, and last semester I studied art in Amsterdam. I love biking, thunderstorms, reading books, and knitting. I grew up in Northern California, but I love spending summers in Saratoga. It will be great to get to know you! We'll have a blast

 

Hey Everyone! My name is Jasmyn Elise Story. I am from Atlanta, Georgia. I love lying out in the sun with friends, listening to music, and snuggling up with a good book. I am an Anthropology major, interested in Native American cultures. I can't wait to meet all of you; we're going to have a great summer!

 

 

Hi! My name is Emory Wonham, I am from Eugene, Oregon. I am going to be a senior at Skidmore next year, and I am majoring in psychology. I spend my free time playing intramural sports with my friends, and pursuing my passion for horses. I am on the equestrian team at Skidmore, and used to be a member of the volleyball team. I have spent every summer in Saratoga Springs since I've been in school, and it is an amazing place to be. I can't wait to meet all of you, I am positive you will love it here!

 

 

Hi! My name is Annie Wu and I grew up in Manhattan, NY. I will be graduating from Skidmore College in May 2012 with a major in Health and Exercise Sciences. I enjoy adrenaline-inducing activities including hiking, running, and rock climbing. Some relaxing activities that I love to do include drinking tea, trying new food, reading, and photographing random things. I can’t wait to meet you all – we will have tons of fun!
