Pre-Orientation Programs
Wellness Pre-Orientation

This program allows students to explore the value of living a balanced, healthy life
and the ways that wellness impacts the college experience. Students learn the secrets
to holistic health and overall well being and are inspired to make a commitment to
healthy living.
The program provides the opportunity for students to explore a variety of wellness
topics including nutrition, stress management, fitness, sleep, and more. Students
participate in workshops and interactive activities to explore health and wellness
topics that are highly relevant during the college years.
The program is led by three of Skidmore’s Health Promotion professionals, as well
as two upper-class students. In addition, workshops and interactive hands-on sessions
will be offered by an assortment of local chefs and holistic practitioners including
a massage therapist, an acupuncturist, a Reiki master, a nutritionist, a life coach
and others.
