Kathleen Morrison

Kathleen Morrison, a teacher at Skidmore’s Greenberg Child Care Center, died August 5, 2004, in Ballston Spa, N.Y. She was 49.

Kathleen was born on July 21, 1951. She started at Skidmore January 24, 1994. For 10 years Kathleen taught at Greenberg Child Care Center—first as a substitute teacher and then as a teacher in the infant room. She was known for greeting parents with a friendly smile and a positive report, and colleagues say she was as attentive to parents’ concerns as she was to nurturing to their offspring. Greenberg’s director, Nancy Wheeler, recalls, “Kathy was a kind, warm friend who touched many lives. She always looked for the positive in any situation and had a great sense of humor. Kathy loved to sew and made the children several costumes, which they still enjoy wearing. She also loved gardening and nature.”

Kathy’s parents, husband William, children Joshua and Crystal, three grandsons, four brothers, and several nieces and nephews survived her.
