Frances M. Weiss
Frances N. Weiss, a longtime member of the dining staff, died May 4, 2011, in Malta, N.Y. She was 91.
Born in Schenectady in 1919, the daughter of Michael and Mary Downs, Frances worked in Skidmore’s Food Service for 27 years, retiring in 1980. When not at work on the old or new campuses, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Frances was predeceased by two husbands, Lt. William J. Hook and Richard Weiss, as well as by two grandchildren, a daughter in-law, three brothers, and two sisters. Her survivors included a daughter and a son, four grandchildren, four sisters and a brother, plus several grandchildren, great-grands, nieces and nephews.
