The Skidmore Analytical Interdisciplinary Laboratory (SAIL) is a suite of modern instrumentation for chemical analysis, established with funding from the National Science Foundation (Grant No. 0959476). Representing the collaborative efforts of Skidmore faculty across the sciences, SAIL welcomes researchers of all disciplines in search of answers to scientific questions. In addition to faculty research and laboratory classes, SAIL is available for class demonstrations, workshops, open houses and outreach projects. SAIL is also open to local community colleges and high schools. If you are interested in bringing your project to SAIL (or bringing SAIL to your project), please contact SAIL Instrumentation Manager Lisa Quimby.
SAIL Steering Committee: The SAIL Steering Committee guides the development of SAIL as an interdisciplinary center for research, collaboration, education and outreach. Members of this committee include the SAIL Instrumentation Manager, as well as faculty representatives from various departments and programs in the sciences.
