The Schick Art Gallery exhibitions committee has arranged for eight of twenty-three studio art faculty to exhibit in this show: Leslie Ferst, Richard Linke, Trish Lyell, David Peterson, Paul Sattler, Janet Sorensen, Peter Stake and Joanne Vella. These eight exhibiting artists will be able to show a larger number of works than faculty members have exhibited in previous years, when over twenty artists participated in the annual faculty exhibit at one time. Similar small numbers of faculty members in groups will continue to rotate for annual exhibitions. Skidmore art faculty members have shown regionally and nationally and most have gallery affiliations in one or more major cities throughout the country, are represented in numerous public and private collections, and have been the recipients of significant awards. Most recently, Paul Sattler was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2006.

The Skidmore College studio art faculty consists of fifteen full-time professors and eight part-time visiting assistant professors, representing a wide variety of disciplines including ceramics, communication design, drawing and painting, metals, photography, printmaking, sculpture, fiber arts, and videography. In addition, there are eleven art history faculty members.
