Microscope and Microdrill

The SPA Lab uses a SZX10 research stereomicroscope and a standard dental drill, in order to analyze small layers in stalagmites, collect microscopic samples of carbonate, and procure precise pictures of individual layers in stalagmites. A zoom ratio of 1:10 is suitable for operations like specimen selection or dissection. This stereomicroscope provides wide viewing and assures fewer oversights while relieving fatigue. It also allows you to choose from a wide range of accessories to accommodate individual sample needs.
