RIDE PROGRAM OPERATING CODE

Purpose:  To provide current students a ride back to the Skidmore College campus outside the normal hours of operation of the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) bus schedule during the academic year.

Start date:  Thursday, September 1, 2011

End date:  Sunday, May 20, 2012 (day after graduation)

Current providers of Rides:  Both Saratoga Taxi and CDTA depending on the day and hour -- subject to change.

• • Includes area traditionally defined as "Downtown Saratoga"

  • North to South:  Skidmore College Campus to Crescent Street

  • East to West:  East Avenue to West Avenue

  • Wilton Malls

  • Skidmore College Boathouse

  • Skidmore College Stables

Exceptions:  Taxi Rides are available to and from the Skidmore Stables and Boathouse according to the respective program schedules.

• Hours of operation:  After midnight, Sunday through Wednesday - Check CDTA schedule (http://www.cdta.org/uploads/route_473.pdf) for specific bus schedule. Please know the CDTA schedule is subject to change.

Thursday through Saturday (Combination of CDTA and Saratoga Taxi)

• Beginning at 9:00pm and ending at 4:15am, CDTA will now provide a night loop (revised route #473 - the southern portion of the route will stop at 9:00pm) that will provide students rides to and from downtown. The Taxi Service will not be paid for by Skidmore College on these nights during these hours. For specific route and schedule, please see:  http://www.cdta.org/uploads/route_473.pdf.

• Beginning at 4:30am and ending at 6:30am, Saratoga Taxi will resume its hours of operation.

Current Skidmore College ID card must be swiped for the bus and presented to taxi driver. Non-student riders must pay Taxi or Bus fare.
