Skidmore’s Pride Alliance is committed to creating a fair and safe forum for discussion and to aid the queer community at Skidmore College. In addition, the Pride Alliance is committed to raising awareness, outreach, and understanding of issues pertaining to sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity/expression at Skidmore and in the community at large . SPA welcomes people from all walks of life, and does not discriminate based on real or perceived sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, race, religion, creed, or age. SPA encourages not only people that identify as GLBTQ to come but we encourage those that identify as Straight to join us. Among specific events, we host social events, run ally trainings, and sponsor speakers. As a Skidmore student association, SPA has over 100 members and we're always doing something on or off campus!
