Several SYRA alumni have gone on to further their careers in politics:

Andrew Kingman, class of 2005, is currently working as the Advance Director for Reed Hillman, the Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor in Massachusetts. He was formerly the Chief of Staff to Massachusetts State Representative Paul K. Frost.

Ryan Barry, class of 2004, is currently working at the state capitol in Albany for Governor George Pataki.

Joseph Bruno, NY State Senate Majority Leader was a graduate of Skidmore College before the existence of SYRA.
