Tornado Watch for Saratoga County

At 1:30 pm on July 1, The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch in effect until 10 PM EDT this evening for Saratoga County.

A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings on local news websites.

Girls & Boys Soccer

Dates: July 5 - July 8, 2016

Time: Tuesday - Friday, 9 am - 4 pm

For Whom: Children Ages 7-13

Program Information

The Skidmore Soccer camp is designed for those players who want to develop and improve their individual soccer ability.  The camp will also introduce training techniques in speed and agility, two areas that are critical for a player to progress to the next level.  There will be a major emphasis on soccer footwork, individual ball skills and technique training in a positive and fun atmosphere.

Equipment

Campers will need to bring their own soccer ball and appropriate footwear for soccer, (cleats or turf shoes and sneakers for indoors).  Every player MUST wear shin-guards.  Campers should bring a full water bottle, bag lunch, hat, sunscreen and suitable clothing for exercising in summer. Campers will have use of Skidmore's indoor swimming pool.  Please bring a bathing suit and towel to camp if planning on swimming (swimming is optional).

Time:  Monday - Friday, 9 am – 12 pm

For Who:  Children Ages 9-12

Program Information:

The Skills Camp is designed for young players who want to challenge their soccer skills at the next level.  This camp will spend time working hard on the fundamentals and developing individual skill work in all technical areas of the game of soccer.  Through the use of fun and challenging games, drills, and coaching feedback we aim to grow the knowledge and expertise of your soccer player in a way that excites them about the game.

Campers will need to bring their own soccer ball and appropriate footwear (cleats or turf shoes and sneakers for indoors).  Every player MUST wear shing-guards.  Campers should bring a full water bottle, a snack, hat, sunscreen and suitable clothing for exercising in summer.
