Current Initiatives - Climate Change
Greenhouse Gas Inventory: Skidmore completed its greenhouse gas inventory, which determined a baseline of greenhouse
gas emissions for fiscal year 2009. This initiative was driven by Goal III of Skidmore's
Strategic Plan, which states in part that Skidmore will "enhance our ability to function as a socially
and environmentally responsible corporate citizen." Please click here to read the report.
Skidmore College Climate Commitment: Using the completed greenhouse gas emissions inventory, Skidmore is currently drafting
its Climate Commitment, which will include an emission-reduction percentage goal and
a target date.
