Maintaining your Web site is the key
to getting as many new visitors as possible and keeping
those that have visited coming back. It is also important
to make sure that information doesn't become outdated,
including contacts and links to other pages.
To change graphics, add new text or add e-mail addresses,
you can use the ftp module to move files from the server
back to your hard drive, make the changes, and then
move them back on to the server. There are, however,
two commands that make Web site maintenance a bit faster
and easier.
Site > Get
This command will get the Web page you want to work
on off the server, by downloading and displaying it.
Site > Put
This command will put the Web page that you have updated
back onto the server and replace the older version.
Use this command when you are done updating the Web
page.
That's it, you are now an amateur Web designer. Good
luck with your Skidmore Web page, and feel free to contact
the webmaster for any questions.
