It is extremely important to organize the location
of all the files involved with the Web page, especially
for large sites. Organized file structures will
allow maximal space on the ftp site and will be
much easier to update. This may be accomplished
by either of two methods:
A.
Create a main folder for the home page, and folders
within this folder for each of the secondary and
tertiary pages. For each directory, include pictures,
shockwave files and anything else related to that
Web page only.
B.
Create a main folder with all the Web pages and
directories that are content-specific. By creating
subdirectories with sections like "pictures,"
"css styles," "java" or "shockwave,"
you will easily be able to look for specific files
that need to be removed or updated.

Of course, there are many other methods that work
just as well; the important thing is to keep everyting
organized. The files on the ftp site should have
logical names, and no files should be uploaded
that are not used in at least one of the pages
of your site.
