Your Pages
Organization
is an important aspect of your Web site. You want to minimize the
number of pages that visitors need to travel through to reach the
information they seek. The way to approach your design is to draw
out a series of pages linked by arrows.
No single page should link to only one or two other pages (as shown
in the illustration below).
Your structural plan should
link each page to as many other pages as possible, in an organized
fashion, as illustrated below.
The goal here is to flatten
the Web structure as much as possible. The Web culture is inherently
impatient, with users intolerant of sites that require many page
clicks before reaching useful information.
