We semi-stumbled onto this hike while looking for a hike in the western Adirondacks where we could go swimming. We went with my long-time soccer coach Al Green and his Kids. It is a tricky path to follow, but there was fun bush-whacking and rugged terrain.
Below is the river you have to cross to get to the Sacandaga River. The turn-off is not well marked.
Here was a fun scramble up a side-ravine leading into the falls.
