Grades for this course will be based on the total number of points earned out of a possible 500. The point distribution is as follows:

• homework assignments........................120 points (= 24%)
• collaborative lab assignments................40 points (= 8%)
• 2 exams.....................................each:..100 points (= 40%)
• final exam............................................120 points (= 24%)
• class participation/attendance..................20 points (= 4%)

I usually drop the lowest score from the homework grades.
