Brief Description:

 

We cover much of the material in Chapters 1 through 5 of the text. The key ideas are functions, the derivative, techniques for differentiation, applications of the derivative, definite integrals, constructing anti-derivatives, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.

Your final percentage grade will be converted to a letter grade using the approximate scale 100-90 A, 89-80 B, 79-70 C, 69-60 D, 59 and below F. Attendance is required. Absences are excused only by notifying me prior to or at the time of the absence. Unexcused absences each result in 5 points (1%) off the Att. portion of your grade. Late assignments lose 2 points for every calendar day of lateness.
