What is Schoolhouse Rock?
Schoolhouse Rock is a free concert for the benefit of Plymouth, Mass., Public Schools. Produced by Brewster Productions , the first of what will hopefully be an annual event will take place Friday, July 27, 2007 on the outdoor stage on Plymouth's historic downtown waterfront.
Schoolhouse Rock was concieved by Co-Producers Jon Dorn, Scott McEwen and Harry Quinn, all Plymouth South High School alumni, in 2006 as a way to show gratitude to their former educators. Plymouth Schools have notoriously lacked funding, and Schoolhouse Rock looks to draw attention to that situation. Not only does the event hope to raise awareness for local schools, but also public education around the country - much of which is far worse off than Plymouth Schools.
