I started as an Assistant Professor at Skidmore College in Fall 2011. I recently taught as a summer graduate research fellow at UC San Diego and was adjunct faculty at the University of San Diego.
I completed my Ph.D. in computer architecture at UC San Diego superbly advised by Dean Tullsen. I continue to collaborate with Dean Tullsen in computer architecture and with Allan Snavely on a research project at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. In addition, I actively collaborate with Beth Simon (and others) on Computer Science Education Research. My architecture research interests include speculative multithreading, transactional memory, thread-level parallelism, branch-prediction, cache-design, chip-multiprocessors, simultaneous multithreading, process scheduling, and cache coherence.
My computer science education research interests include CS1 media computation, clickers, active learning, and peer instruction.
