Revise
the following paragraph to eliminate sentence fragments. You may combine
or rearrange sentences in any way you see fit, so long as you retain
the original content. You need not eliminate every single fragment;
if you decide to keep a fragment, copy it at the end of your revised paragraph and
briefly explain your decision.
How people
take tests says something. About them as people. Some individuals
worry. And do nothing but worry. They don't reread, they don't review
their notes, and they don't discuss major issues with classmates.
After all this, they may still be surprised. When the test day arrives
and they aren't prepared. Other people worry, but they put that worry
to work. These individuals use their worry. As motivation to make
study plans. In addition to reviewing notes and doing some selective
rereading. These students might also try to anticipate test questions.
And then construct appropriate answers. In effect, they take practice
tests. Still another group of people don't worry at all. They don't
take tests seriously. And probably don't spend much time in preparation.
The most naturally gifted in this group. May still do reasonably well
on tests. However, even the most naturally gifted may be cheating
themselves. If they don't study. As my grandma used to say, "If you've
never worked hard, how do you know how hard you can work?"
