Success in this course requires regular submission of papers, drafts, and excercises. Late exercises, assigned drafts, and writing projects (papers) will not be accepted. All work is due at the beginning of the class period on the assigned due date. To help you plan your work schedule, the due date of each paper appears on the assignment and course syllabus.
Writing is a communicative act. In order for our class to become a writing and reading community, we need to get involved each others' reading and writing by volunteering our experiences, getting started writing papers and revising as well as critically reading and rereading images and texts. I have left slots in the syllabus for your suggestions.
I will be pleased to meet with you during the course of the semester. You may "walk-in" during my office hours or arrange for a meeting at another, mutually convenient time to discuss the readings, papers, and informal excercises, to plan a class activity, or just to chat about the class.
Attendance is mandatory. After four absences, you will automatically receive an "F" in the course.
Lateness disrupts the academic process, so please arrive promptly. Lateness of more than 10 minutes will be counted as an absence even if you attend class that day.
The Withdrawal Deadline is Monday, April 3 for Spring Term 2006.
