Images of Latinas will focus on the experience of Latinas protrayed in their literary work. In studying the interplay of cultural, historical, and socio-economic factors affecting Latina's roles and gender relationships, we will be able to identify the uniqueness of their experiences and its expression within U.S. multicultural society. Such a study will be approached from an interdisciplinary perspective using literature, literary criticism, history and cultural studies.
