Like the straight bar pelham except jointed in the middle. These joints or single joint allow the bit to follow the natural curve of the mouth. The also invite the horse to accept the bit. The mouthpiece can be metal or rubber. A chain can accopany this bit an lies just under the bit. The cirb chain gives the rider even more control, along with the second curb rein.
