The Disney Collection

Since high school, I’ve started to collect Disney-themed shirts. It started small with a few tank tops of my favorite movies, but it has slowly grown over the years. My taste has shifted throughout from graphic tees and tank tops of romantic scenes to more stylized shirts of my favorite characters. They have become a big part of my wardrobe. I’m aware it’s somewhat odd and usual, but my obsession with this company comes from a place of nostalgia and hope. I’ll recall fond memories of my family at Disney World when I was a young child or dressing up as Ariel on Halloween. The movies portray this childlike happiness and hope to follow your dreams to achieve the clichéd “happily ever after.” It may seem unrealistic or absurd, but I appreciate the message that they convey. I adore the songs, the romance, and the adventure. It may be clichéd, but it has become a big part of my identity. Welcome to my collection.
