Student Academic Services Guidelines for Accessing the Testing Room

Testing Room - No Disturb

The Disability Services testing room is located on the first floor of Starbuck Center in Student Academic Services (SAS). The testing room provides a distraction-reduced environment for students with disabilities who are eligible for testing accommodations. Students interested in using the testing room are responsible for making arrangements with SAS and their faculty. Requests can be made by submitting the online Exam Request Form.

Due to the growing use of the testing room, students are encouraged to schedule exams as soon as possible. The space is scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event that the testing room is booked, the coordinator will work with individual faculty members and students to make necessary arrangements.

Student Academic Services has professional staff available to administer exams Monday–Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

All students using the testing room are bound by the Skidmore Honor Code. When arriving to take an exam, students must sign in, indicating that they understand the testing time limits as set by their professors. Students must leave their belongings (coats, bags, cell phones, etc.) outside of the testing room.

Arrangements for exam delivery and return should be communicated by faculty. Tests and related materials can be emailed to SAS at this secure address:
