FAQs about COVID-19 and Admissions
Yes. However, following national recommendations and executive order by New York State in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have moved to virtual operations. Our business hours remain the same: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We’d love to talk with you. Please contact us!
As of now, we are still planning on a May 1 deposit deadline. We know students are concerned about making a choice without the chance to visit and we are creating a lot of terrific content to try to answer your questions and help you get to know Skidmore better. See Skidmore.edu/accepted2024.
Please alert the Admissions Office if you experience a disruption in completing your high school education due to COVID-19, so that we can support you in preparing to come to Skidmore. Call 800-867-6007 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are so excited to admit you as a member of the Class of 2024 and we want to hear from you. You will continue to receive information via email about ways in which you can digitally connect with Skidmore students and faculty. We look forward to engaging with you and we want you to ask us anything. In the meantime, please check out the webpages we’ve developed just for you:
For the health and safety of essential staff and students who are still on campus, as well as your own, we are discouraging any visitors. We have also temporarily suspended all in-person Admissions events, including information sessions, campus tours and open house programs. When circumstances regarding COVID-19 sufficiently improve, we will resume normal operations. This information will be posted on our website.
Virtual appointments with admissions counselors are now available, as are virtual group information sessions. You can also connect directly with a Skidmore student. Go here to accomplish any of these.
The financial aid office is open for virtual business. Please feel invited to contact us with any questions or to arrange a scheduled conversation.
