Important Testing and CoVerified Updates

September 28, 2021

Dear Students,

With the fall semester well underway, the College continues to monitor campus COVID-19 transmission rates as well as our community’s adherence to testing and safety protocols.

Thanks to everyone’s collective efforts, we have been able to track and mitigate spread of the virus. And while our progress thus far is encouraging, it is crucial that we proactively work together to keep our community safe and healthy for the duration of the semester.

In turn, students should be aware of two key updates:

  • To ensure compliance with testing requirements, beginning Friday, Oct. 1, all students will be required to show a “cleared” status in CoVerified in order to gain entry to Murray-Aikins Dining Hall and Williamson Sports Center. This means you must be up-to-date with your requirement of being tested every seven days. If you’ve missed your test in the past seven days, you must test tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 29, to help ensure you will have access to the Dining Hall and Sports Center beginning Friday.
  • Weekly testing for students will continue to be required whenever the College is operating at a "yellow" status level, as we currently are. All students must be tested every seven days.
    • Testing will continue to be held in Falstaff’s until noon on Friday, Oct. 8.
    • Beginning Monday, Oct. 11, testing will move to Pine Cottage Annex.
    • If you are restricted in CoVerified because of missed testing, you must test and receive a negative test result in order to clear your status. Health Services will not be able to change your status.

In addition, please remember that In addition, please remember that masks are required indoors, regardless of vaccination status, when in common spaces.

Your responsible actions are essential and appreciated as we continue to work to protect ourselves and our community.

Thank you,
The COVID-19 Logistics Working Group
