Details regarding on-campus COVID-19 booster clinic

October 17, 2022

Dear Skidmore Community,

Skidmore will hold another on-campus COVID-19 updated bivalent booster clinic on Friday, Nov. 4 in partnership with Adirondack Health & Wellness. This clinic is for faculty, staff, and students and will be held in Filene Recital Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both the Moderna and Pfizer updated bivalent boosters will be available to all eligible individuals.

The updated (bivalent) boosters are called “bivalent” because they protect against both the original virus that causes COVID-19 and the Omicron variant BA.4 and BA.5. The CDC states that COVID-19 boosters are safe and effective. For more information, visit the CDC’s website. Skidmore strongly encourages all eligible members of our community to receive the bivalent booster.

Registration information was shared in an email sent to the Skidmore community on Oct. 17. Please refer to that email for the signup link and paperwork.

Other important things to know:

  • Remember to bring your COVID-19 vaccination card, health insurance information, and valid ID (driver’s license, passport, or student ID) with you to the clinic.
  • You must provide proof of the date of your most recent COVID-19 vaccination or booster by presenting either your vaccination card or showing a photo of your card on your phone.
  • There is no charge for the COVID-19 booster, regardless of health insurance status.
  • 72 hours prior: If you are experiencing symptoms such as cough, fever, or shortness of breath, please do not come to your appointment.
  • Masks are not required, but strongly encouraged.

If you’re unable to attend this clinic, you are still encouraged to receive a booster as soon as possible. Available appointments can be found here.

Thank you,
