When the Career Development Center visited Health Monitor Network this past summer, the firm was preparing to move to a new office, a step reflecting the tremendous growth and success the company has experienced over the past 36 years.  With growth comes new job opportunities, and the company showed great enthusiasm toward meeting job-seeking seniors at Skidmore Recruitment Day 2020.

Health Monitor Network, led by CEO and Skidmore alumnus, Ken Freirich '90,  provides high-quality patient education through digital, print, and mobile platforms through 200,000+ medical offices and more than 400,000 healthcare professionals.

The company’s organizational success is powered by its entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, unwavering commitment to people and invaluable contributions from its employees.  Freirich is also well known at Skidmore as serving as the college's first Entrepreneur in Residence, as well as the founder of the nationally-acclaimed Kenneth A. Freirich Business Plan Competition, now in its 10th year at Skidmore.  This unique competition provides student entrepreneurs with cash prizes, in-kind services, and on-going mentorship as they pursue their various business ideas.

This past summer, Health Monitor Network invited a Skidmore intern to join its team.  Management & Business senior Theo Morris was offered the role.

"Health Monitor Network is an innovative company that hires smart and motivated professionals," said Morris.  "I worked in the sales operations department streamlining supply chain inefficiencies.  I was able to learn about a fast-growing industry, as well as the back-office technology used to help this company manage its operations and growth."

Beyond a family-like culture, Health Monitor Network also rewards its employees with special company outings, such as an annual relaxation day and a costume themed holiday party, personal growth opportunities through what is known as Health Monitor University, on-site fitness and meditation classes and complimentary healthy snacks and beverages provided in the company’s recently unveiled, eclectic Café HM.  All of these features contribute to the firm's national recognition as an official Great Workplace by the Great Place to Work® Institute.

Health Monitor Network is proud to support Skidmore Recruitment Day by assisting in providing bus transportation for job seekers from campus to New York City.  The company is accepting applications for four roles: Digital Product Support Specialist role, Digital Production Specialist/Quality Assurance, HTML Programmer, and a Marketing Coordinator.

Seniors have until Monday, February 3 at 11:55 p.m. to submit their applications to as many jobs as they choose in Handshake.
