Skidmore's Dining Services team recently earned its sixth consecutive gold medal for culinary excellence in an American Culinary Federation sanctioned competition on campus.

of the men’s basketball team and of the women’s basketball team earned spots on the Liberty League Honor Roll. The weekly award recognizes student-athletes for outstanding play.

A book by Yelena Biberman-Ocakli, assistant professor of political science, has been accepted for publication by Oxford University Press. She also published a scholarly article.

 

David Cohen, assistant professor in the Department of Management and Business, published an article about his research.

 

Research by Kristofer Covey, visiting assistant professor of environmental studies and sciences, was mentioned in a news feature in Nature.

 

Matthew Hockenos, Harriet Johnson Toadvine ’56 Chair in 20th Century History, published an article in Time magazine.

 

Christopher B. Mann, assistant professor of political science, was quoted in a news article in the Post-Star.

 

 

 

Smoke free

Please plan to attend an all-campus event on Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Case Center to learn more about Skidmore’s new Smoking Policy, cessation resources, and how you can be part of this initiative. As of Jan. 1, smoking and tobacco use — as well as the use of all e-cigarettes and vaping devices — are prohibited throughout all Skidmore College property, including outdoor areas.
