President Philip A. Glotzbach and members of the faculty and staff recently updated the Skidmore community on the 2019-2020 budget, the campus campaign, employee health care and other important issues.

Dining Services

Spa specials

The Spa is open 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday this summer. Breakfast is served from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Lunch, which includes a salad bar, soup, full deli menu and grill menu, is served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Weather permitting, a $5.99 pop-up grill menu is offered and includes a choice of burger, hot dog, chicken breast or veggie burger with two sides and a drink.

 

Burgess Café is open 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

 

The Dining Hall serves breakfast 7-9:30 a.m., lunch 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and dinner 5-7:30 p.m.

 

Faculty-Staff Achievements

John Brueggemann, professor of sociology and department chair, has been elected to the Saratoga Springs City School District's Board of Education.

 

Jordana Dym, professor of history, offered a short course and a workshop at the University of the State of São Paulo - Franca (Brazil) in May.

Announcements

Campus power outages June 2

On Sunday, June 2, Palamountain Hall, Harder Hall, Falstaff’s Pavilion and the chiller plant are scheduled to be without power from 5 a.m. until 4 p.m. The rest of campus will be without power from noon until 4 p.m. The following areas will run off generator power: Dana Science Center, Murray-Aikins Dining Hall, Tang Teaching Museum, Bolton Hall, North Hall and Campus Safety. Please at ext. 5860 if you have any questions or concerns.

Health Services temporarily closed

Health Services will be closed through May 31 due to construction.

 

Frances Day 2019

The sixth annual Frances Day, a to be held Saturday, June 15, will feature art exhibitions, art-making activities, tours, food, music and more in honor of the museum’s namesake, Frances Young Tang ’61.

 

Friends of Skidmore Athletics Thoroughbred Cup

The 15th annual Friends of Skidmore Athletics Thoroughbred Cup Golf Tournament will take place Saturday, June 22, at Saratoga National Golf Club. Enjoy golf or dinner and support your Skidmore College Thoroughbreds.
