benefits and beneficiaries are up-to-date. Benefits
enrollment must be completed by midnight Friday, Nov. 15. Note
that the Human Resources office closes at 4:30 p.m., so if you
will need assistance, plan to complete your enrollment early.

Pack the
Rink
Come support the unbeaten Skidmore
hockey team at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, when the Thoroughbreds
host Castleton. Bring a canned good and get a T-shirt. There
will be prizes, contests and giveaways. A free bus leaves Case
Center at 6:30 p.m.

'Skidmore' ice cream flavor
It�s a winter
wonderland outside, but it's never too cold for ice cream.
Stewart�s Shops and Skidmore College are partnering to release
a Skidmore ice cream flavor in spring 2020. Vote on the flavor
that you think best represents Skidmore at an ice cream
tasting from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the
Skidmore Shop.

Basic and advanced editor training
sessions are offered to faculty, staff and student workers
each semester. Training sessions cover how to create webpages,
format text and add videos and photos. Advanced editor
training is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 12,
in the Harder 101 PC lab. More

Training
on centralized scheduling and use of the event management
system will be offered at 2 p.m. Nov. 12 and Nov. 14
and at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 19 and Nov. 21 in Scribner Library,

Roundtable discussion: The
Human Cost of Border Walls
Join professors Diana Barnes, Mao
Chen, Nurcan Atalan-Helicke, James Kennelly, Joowon Park and
Petra Watzke for a discussion of the impact of borders and
border walls on communities in various national contexts from
5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in Bolton 203. A
reception will follow.

A Tang
Teen Studio workshop led by Skidmore students will be
held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Tang Teaching Museum.
Teens are welcome to explore art, make art and hang out at the

Christine Hallquist, who became the
first transgender gubernatorial candidate when she won the
Democratic primaries in Vermont in 2016, will speak at 6 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 18, at the Tang Teaching Museum.
Resident assistant nominations
for 2020-2021
Faculty and staff members are
encouraged to nominate students who they believe would make
great resident assistants for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Nominations are due by 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21. Each
person may nominate more than one student, but please
submit one form per student.
Kids' Night
Out
Kids ages 5 to 14 are invited to
participate in well-supervised recreational activities from
6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, in Williamson Sports

update
New content has been added to the
Skidmore Grants website. This month, the website is
highlighting Assistant Professor of Chemistry K. Aurelia Ball,
her recent award entitled �Characterization and Modulation of
SH3 Domain Binding Pathway Biophysics� and the National
