President Philip A. Glotzbach will
hold an open office hour from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14,
in the President�s Office, fourth floor of Palamountain
Hall.
American
Culinary Federation Conference and
Competition
Skidmore College
will host the ninth annual ACF event Jan. 8-10. The conference
will culminate in a �Chopped�-style contest featuring chefs
from colleges, universities and institutions from across the
Northeast beginning at 6 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10. Teams will
prepare and present their courses until 1 p.m., when final
judging gets underway. Awards will be presented around 3 p.m.
The contest is open to the public. For more

Athletics
update
The Skidmore College hockey team returns
to New England Hockey Conference play at home this weekend
against UMass Boston at 7 p.m. Friday and Babson at 4 p.m.
Saturday. The Thoroughbreds are unbeaten in their last seven

Long distance telephone
calls
Effective Jan. 6, long distance codes
will no longer be required for domestic long distance calls on
most Skidmore office telephones, including phones in
conference rooms, at reception desks and in areas such as
Campus Safety and Health Services where phones are often used
to make long distance calls. Codes will still be required for
all international calls and to make calls from classrooms,
labs, hallways, dormitories and other common areas. For more
