Skidmore-inspired ice cream flavor this spring. The Skidmore
community has chosen mint chocolate chip as the flavor, so
now cast
your ballot for the name that best represents
Skidmore. The winning name will be selected during a
scream-off at the Big Green Scream on Saturday, Feb.
15.
Athletics
update
Cheer on the Thoroughbreds men�s and
women�s basketball teams as they host Clarkson University at
the Big Green Scream on Saturday, Feb. 15. The women�s game is
at 2 p.m., followed by the men�s contest at 4 p.m. There will
be free commemorative T-shirts for the first 250 fans at each
game, a smart-TV raffle and other prizes, student
entertainment and free Stewart�s ice cream. Read

Kids ages 5 to 14 are invited to
participate in well-supervised recreational activities from

Skidmore Grants
update
New content has been added to the Skidmore
Grants website. This month, the website is highlighting
Christopher G. Vecsey, assistant professor of neuroscience,
his award, �Investigation of Neuropeptide Signaling Mechanisms
that Control Sleep,� and the National Institute of
Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), an institute within
the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Upcoming funding
announcements and articles of interest have also been
updated.
