update
Skidmore�s spring teams are hitting the
road for March break. The baseball and softball teams are
headed to Florida, crew is off to North Carolina, golf will
play in South Carolina, men's tennis will go to California,
women's tennis will go to Virginia, men's lacrosse is
traveling to Virginia and women's lacrosse will play in

the benefits of driving an electric car in upstate New York at

Sustainability 2020 and Beyond

Briot (Avangrid Renewables), Karen Kellogg (Environmental
Studies and Sciences Program), Tracy Martin �05 (Otto's Market
and Germantown Laundromat) and Ashley McEvoy �09 (National
Park Foundation) will discuss how sustainability matters in
their personal and professional lives in a panel moderated by
Catherine Hill, teaching professor of management and business,
and Levi Rogers, director of sustainability programs and
assessment, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, in Davis
Auditorium. A reception and networking with
sustainability-focused organizations will follow the panel,
which is sponsored by the Department of Management and
Business, the Office of Sustainability and the Career
Development Center.

Contest, open to Skidmore students, faculty and staff, will be

Out
of the Darkness suicide prevention walk
The
third annual Out
of the Darkness walk for suicide prevention and awareness
will begin at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Case Center
Green. Registration is free and the walk is open to the
community. Sign up or donate online to help reach the $5,000
fundraising goal. Registration will also be available on-site
at 1 p.m. the day of the walk.
Student
Leadership Award nominations sought
Upper-class
students who are well-rounded individuals with diverse
interests, strong character and high initiative may be
nominated using an online
form or by sending a letter to Dean of Students and Vice
President for Student Affairs Cerri Banks by 4 p.m.
Monday, March 23. The awards will be presented at the annual
Student Leadership Banquet on Thursday, April 30.
