Skidmore Athletics has released the 2026 spring schedules for baseball, golf, men’s and women’s lacrosse, riding, rowing, softball, and men’s and women’s tennis.

Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Skidmore is partnering with MLK Saratoga to support the 2026 Dr. King Celebration Weekend, Jan. 16–19. On-campus events include a Student Arts Showcase in Case Center and a Dr. King-themed Family at the Tang. The weekend also features live music by Soulist Garland Nelson ’96, speakers, including Professor Kate Graney, and a keynote address by Minister Steven Boxley. All events are free and open to the public. A full schedule is available on MLK Saratoga’s website

‌Science on Tap at Common Roots

‌Brewing Science on Tap returns to Common Roots Brewing on Wednesday, Jan. 28. Daniel Peterson, associate professor and associate chair of psychology, will present “Fake News on Social Media: Exploring Age Effects.” Doors open at 6 p.m., and the presentation begins at 7 p.m. A full schedule of upcoming talks is available online.

‌Community winter sowing workshop 

‌Join us for a winter sowing workshop 5–7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 29, in BTCIS 101A. Participants will plant pollinator plants for the Skidmore Community Garden or may bring a clear container, such as a milk jug or takeout container, to plant for a home garden. Seeds and soil will be provided. Visit Sustainable Saratoga to register and learn more.

Empty milk jugs needed

‌Greenberg Child Care Center is seeking clean, dry, empty gallon milk jugs for a special winter project. Please drop donations off outside the main entrance of the Center (located at the end of North Broadway) during regular business hours.

‌Women’s Lacrosse to host February break kids camp

‌Women’s lacrosse will host a February break kids camp Feb. 16–20 for children in grades K–5. The camp runs 9 a.m.–noon at the Williamson Sports Center and includes arts and crafts, games, and other activities. Cost is $30 per day or $125 for the week. ‌‌Updated catering menus 

‌Dining Services has updated their catering menus for 2026. The team has been working hard to complete this refresh, introducing new offerings while keeping some familiar favorites.

‌Skidmore Shop move-in weekend hours

‌To accommodate move-in and the start of the spring semester, the Skidmore Shop will be open from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed Saturday, and open from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Sunday. Students can prepare for the spring semester by ordering course materials including lab gear, art supplies, and school supplies. Visit us in-store or at skidmoreshop.com, where you can shop now and pick up in-store later or have your items shipped.

Skidmore Weekly Bulletin submission procedure and schedule

‌Help reduce bulk emails by posting your announcement in Skidmore Weekly Bulletin, which is distributed to all employees as well as to all students. Submit announcements and events, and faculty and staff achievements by completing the appropriate online form. The deadline for all submissions is noon on Monday. Email swb@skidmore.edu if you have questions or experience technical issues due to ongoing website updates.
