At a time when others were eager to define their generation, the Class of 2026 wrote their own story — one shaped by resilience, creativity, community, and the confidence to pursue their passions.

‌Summer Bulletin publication schedule

‌From May 20 through Aug. 19, Bulletin will be distributed only to faculty and staff, and students who remain on campus during the summer. It will also continue to be posted online. To submit announcements and events, please complete the online submission form. The deadline for all submissions is noon on Monday. Faculty-staff achievements are not published over the summer. ‌Cordapalooza

Seniors may pick up their college Honors, department honors, SGA cords, and peer mentor cords from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. today, at Case Walkway. Learn more.

‌Give+Go 

‌Skidmore’s annual Give+Go move-out program will run through May 17. Donate gently used items to the six locations across campus. Volunteers can sign up for weekday sorting shifts and for Give+Go Day. Contact the Office of Sustainability with questions.

‌Help inform Skidmore’s next mission statement ‌

‌The College is undertaking a review of its mission statement. You are invited to review the current statement and share feedback through a brief survey, which will close today. For more information, please refer to the email from the Office of the President sent Wednesday, April 22.

‌New date for planned power outage

‌The new time for a campuswide planned power outage for high-voltage maintenance is 6 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 20. Contact facilities@skidmore.edu with questions.‌

Pool closure for summer upgrades

The pool will be closed for the summer to allow for installation of a new filtration system. Please contact Matt Folts for more information.

‌Remembering Amadou Thiam ’26 

‌As the Class of 2026 prepares for graduation, the Skidmore community is remembering Amadou Thiam ’26, who passed away in 2023. A brief gathering to honor Amadou and share memories will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 14, in Wilson Chapel. Staff and faculty are welcome to attend, whether they knew Amadou or wish to support his classmates. Cards for sharing messages with Amadou’s family will be available at Wilson Chapel and Case Center 205 on Thursday and Friday. Amadou also will be honored during the Brick Ceremony and included in the Commencement program.

‌MRE study participants needed

‌Participants are needed for a study on the effects of meals-ready-to-eat (MREs) on fat mass and lean muscle mass, blood sugar, blood lipids, calories burned at rest, reaction time, mood state, muscle strength, power, endurance, and aerobic power. The study will last approximately 24 days, and all laboratory and physical activity testing sessions will take place on the Skidmore campus. Contact Paul Arciero for more information.

‌The Skidmore Shop will be closed Monday, May 18, through Thursday, May 21, for annual inventory. Online orders placed at skidmoreshop.com after midnight Thursday, May 14, will not be processed until inventory is completed.
