Federal CARES Act Emergency Student Funding Information

Skidmore College has received $820,317 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants for Students as part of the Federal CARES Act, and has signed the Certification to the Department of Education. Skidmore commits to using no less than 50 percent of its total HEERF funds as Emergency Student Grant Funds.

Skidmore has awarded $820,317 to 399 students as of June 23, 2020.

The requirements for this Federal eligibility include US Citizenship (or US Permanent Residency status), Title IV Federal student aid eligibility (FAFSA filers, of which Skidmore has 1,341 for 2019-2020), with funding priority based on family financial need (such as qualify for the Federal Pell Grant).

US Citizens and eligible non-citizens who have filed a 2019-2020 FAFSA were sent three emails with a link to the application for funding. All available funding has been awarded. If you have questions please email the financial aid office at finaid@skidmore.edu.
