2018 Senior Capstone Dance Concert

Senior dance majors present their Capstone performance which includes original work in choreography as well as solos created by professional choreographers. Featured choreographers include Sheena Annalise (Artistic Director, Arch Contemporary Ballet), Larry Keigwin (Founder, Keigwin & Company), Belinda McGuire (former dancer, José Limón Dance Company), Anthony Santos (Company Artist, Dance Theater of Harlem), and Stuart Singer (former dancer, Lucinda Childs Dance Company), and Caitlin Trainor (Founder & Director, Trainor Dance, NYC).

Skidmore College Classical Ballet Workshop with Skidmore Orchestra present selections from Swan Lake Act II (Tchaikovsky) and Gaite Parisienne (Offenbach). Choreographed and staged by Denise Warner Limoli; Anthony Holland, Conductor.

2018 Spring Dance Concert

The Skidmore Dance Department presents an exciting evening of new works featuring the Skidmore premier of Ohad Naharin’s iconic piece Echad Mi Yodea. The performance is the culmination of a semester long residency with members of The Batsheva Dance Company and Gaga: Naharin’s language of physical research. (This presentation is part of the Jacob Perlow Event Series sponsored by the Office of Special Programs).
