Use of Equipment
Skidmore College provides access to resources such as telephones, voice mail systems, e-mail systems, and computers to support Employees in their assigned job duties. The Information Technology department offers an individual user account for each appropriate employee upon request by the Employee, department head, or Supervisor. Sharing of user names and/or passwords is unacceptable. All Skidmore property should be used properly and maintained in good working order. These resources should not contain content that may reasonably be considered offensive or disruptive to an Employee. Offensive content includes, but is not limited, to sexual comments or images, racial slurs, gender-specific comments, or any comments or images offensive on the basis of age, religious or political beliefs, national origin, or disability.
The use of College provided equipment is governed by a variety of College policies. There may be other policies affecting use of various systems and your use of those systems is also governed by those policies.
