NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Application

The TAP program requires completion of both the FAFSA and the TAP Application.

If the electronic TAP application is not completed in conjunction with filing the FAFSA online, you will receive an email from the Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) with a link to the application. Be sure you complete and submit the form using 0855 Skidmore’s TAP school code.

Parents' 2019 Federal Income Tax Return and W2's

Do you need to submit your tax information?

Did you successfully transfer your income data from the IRS to the 2021-2022 FAFSA?

Yes- taxes do not need to be submitted, just your 2019 W2 and/or Schedule K-1 (unless specifically requested by the financial aid office)

No- please submit a signed, dated, legible copy of your 2019 federal tax return, including pages 1 &2, schedules 1, 2, 3 and if applicable, schedules A, C, K-1 and SE and all W2's.  For identification purposes, write your name and ID number at the top of the first page.  If you do not have a copy, you may obtain one by contacting the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.

If you did not file federal income taxes for 2019, please make sure you certify in Section D of the verification worksheet and we will waive this requirement.
